I have very active neighbors.Nag-a-aerobics sila sa daan kapag trip nila.Minsan dito sila sa tapat ng kapitbahay ko.Minsan dun sa basketball court.Minsan doon sa tapat ng mga bahay ng iba pang myembro ng kanilang exercise team.

Wala lang.Naisipan ko lang silang kunan.

Masakit ang ulo ko.Kulang sa tulog.Simula ng maging mommy ako, ganito.Parang doktor.24 hours on call.On call kay Ykaie at kay Alvin.Ngayon pati sa computer shop.
Kagigising ko nga lang.Nakatulog ako habang pinapatulog ko si Ykaie.Wawa naman si Alvin bantay ng shop.Sya tong may pasok....

Ykaie

Sinampalukang Manok

Para maiba naman ang dinner.Nagluto ako ng Sinampalukang Manok.

INGREDIENTS:

2 tbsp cooking oil

2 cloves garlic

1 small onion

tamarind/tamarind soup mix

Chicken pieces

Tamarind Leaves

Sili Leaves

Patis (Fish sauce)

DIRECTIONS:

• Saute garlic in cooking oil until golden brown, add the onion.
• Add the chicken, stir fry and season with fish sauce.
• When the chicken is almost brown add water and bring to a boil.
• Simmer for almost 20 minutes.
• Add the tamarind soup base.Stir.
• Add the Sili leaves and Tamarind leaves.Bring to a boil then turn off the heat.
• Serve with rice.

Yung mga bata na ksama nung mga uma-attend nandito sa computer shop at naglalaro ng SF (Special force). Sana maghanda pa ng maghanda ang mga kapitbahay ko....wahehe

1.Headsets (extra) para sa shop.Hayz,sira na naman yung isang headset dun sa number 3.Sino kaya itong mga #@*$?@$!!!! to na kala mo eh mga bakal ang tenga??

2.Instant Pancit Canton.Nung isang araw ito ang minerienda namin ni Alvin atsaka pandesal.Na-realize ko na matagal-tagal na rin pala akong di kumakain nito.Na-miss ko na sya.♥

3.Scotch Tape.yung 3M na nabibili sa National Bookstore.Madikit kasi yun.Kailangan ko  para maidikit na sa 2nd floor ng shop yung mga game posters.

4.Lots of  baby food for Ykaie.Super takaw na kasi..

Di ko na naipagpatuloy kasi  nag-grocery na kami kanina at nabili ko na ang lahat ng ito plus other items..

Wooooohooo....

Di masarap tong iniinom kong kape.Yak!..lasang...blip!blip!...Pero buti na lang nag-kape ako at puno pa rin tong shop hanggang last hour.Sabi ko nga sa mga customers hanggang 1:30am lang akey..ayun! My gas! sana araw-araw ganire ang feoples para masaya!

that distinct taste sa Ginger Tea ng The Spa ay walang iba kundi....(drumroll) Panucha.Yup,that's right. I tried to make the Ginger Tea kanina...W-ell ...ito sya..masarap naman,kuha yung taste nung sa The Spa,yun nga lang parang sobrang ginger-y. Sumobra yata ako sa luya...wahehe.

Ang panget ng picture ano? parang di mo iinumin kapag binigay ko sayo.Nagmamadali kasi ako kanina at as usual nagbabantay ako ng shop.Weekend pa naman ngayon...My gas! daming tao!

Yesterday,I was thinking of cooking Chicken Afritada for dinner tonight.Kaya lang nagluto si ate ng Chopsuey para hindi mabulok yung sayote nya sa ref. Habang nasa palengke nga kami kanina,naisip ko na Sinampalukang Manok na lang ang iluto..para maiba naman.Di ko pa na-try na magluto nun eh.Hindi ko naman sya pwede iluto bukas dahil dadating si Kuya Noel.Pag Sunday at dadating si Kuya kasama si Thea at Cyra siguradong magluluto si madir.Beefsteak a.k.a. Bistek ang ulam bukas.
So..siguro monday na lang ang Sinampalukang Manok.Ayannn!!! Meron na ko something to look forward to this coming monday..

Hayz,what a night.Kakatulog lang ni Yk yk.Anong oras na ngayon? 12:10am na.Nagutom tuloy ako.Eto,I'm snacking on  lemon square cheese cake & water.

I want to try making the Ginger Tea tomorrow.I need to buy fresh Ginger root & panocha.Ano kayang masarap na ulam tomorrow?Any suggestions??

Yehey! bati na kami...

Galit kami ni Alvin kahapon kaya ako sad.Di ko masyado nai-discuss kasi wala--as in wala!-- ako sa mood. Di nga ako nakakain maghapon.Ito lang ang nakain ko nung mga 12:30am na habang nanonood ng Blind Date.

Cheese Ring. Tama.Cheese Ring ang nagsilbing comfort food ko kagabi.Si Alvin naman idinaan na lang sa tulog.Hay ang hirap talaga ng married life.Para ding mga aso't pusa.Arguing about petty hubby-and-wife issues na parang sa mata ng third party eh napakaliit na bagay lang pero sa totoo lang eh sobrang affected ang mga involved.You say things you don't really mean,you just say it because your mad.Sometimes it's easy na balewalain pero at times it's hard to forget kaya we have to be really really careful in what we say when we're mad.Words are one thing that we cannot take back.Lalo na hurtful words.
At the end of the day,what's important is we're okay .The hurtful words that was said yesterday were forgotten.We exchanged I love you's.♥♥

CHICKEN BARBEQUE
Chicken pieces (I bought legs & wings)
(Marinade:)
Soy sauce
Sugar
Minced garlic
Calamansi Juice


Directions:
Marinate chicken in soy sauce,sugar,minced garlic & calamansi juice.Let stand for at least half day.Grill on live charcoal until cooked.Baste with marinade while grilling.

Hay,ang sarap ng lunch.

In search of a good Ginger Tea

I found some Ginger Tea recipes but I don't know if these will suit my taste.I will have to try these one by one.

RECIPE # 1

water,4 cups
2-inch piece of fresh ginger root
optional:
honey and lemon slice

Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger. Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.

RECIPE #2 

3 1/4 cups hot water

1/2 cup finely chopped fresh ginger (left unpeeled)
2 tablespoons loose black tea leaves
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, or to taste
Preparation
Bring water and ginger to a boil in a 1- to 1 1/2-quart saucepan, then remove from heat. Stir in tea and cover. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in milks, then pour through a sieve into a large (6-cup) blender, pressing hard on and then discarding solids. Blend until foamy (use caution when blending hot liquids), then pour into mugs and sweeten with more condensed milk if desired.

RECIPE # 3

 Ingredients 

1 1/4 liters water

    1/3 cup firmly packed fresh mint leaves
    1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
    1 tablespoon honey
    4 slices lemons

Directions:

 Combine water, mint and ginger in a pan, simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes; strain, discard mint and ginger.Stir in honey. Serve tea, hot or chilled, with lemon slices.

The Spa

So it was Ate Arlene's late birthday celebration today (her birthday was last July 16).As ususal, Alvin was groggy from lack of sleep since he just came from work.We went to Trinoma and met his family at Gerry's.
They were very aliw with Ykaie because of her new talent.She just learned to wave bye-bye.Yay!

We got Ate Arlene a gift certificate for a Volcanic Stone Massage at the Spa.We were kinda envious.The Spa was calling to us.


Well,I've been wanting needing a foot spa since last season & guest what...Taaahdahh!!! Alvin & I went to The Spa for some treatment after lunch.I know he's also been needing a massage.Everytime I give him a back rub,I always feel how stressing he was because of the knotted muscles on his upper back.

Hay, ang hirap talaga maging ulirang ina!! hehe.I'm still trying to find ways kung paano makakaraket.
I have posted my first item to sell on eBay today.Ngayon ko lang tri-ny to since nandito lang naman ako sa shop at wala naman ginagawa.Sana naman mabenta.Sorry sa nagbigay nun,It was a gift but I don't wanna recycle gifts kasi.Eh kesa naman di mapakinabangan at maging dakilang "dust gatherer" sa bahay.gawin na lang nating $$$ (ka-ching,ka-ching)

Henyways, I cooked Salpicao for dinner..okay naman sya,masarap..kulang lang sa liquid seasoning kasi ubos na pala yung liquid seasoning namin.Akala ko marami pa.Hehe...

At ito sya..mukha namang masarap diba??

 

Here's the recipe:

BEEF SALPICAO

Ingredients:

1/2kg Beef Tenderloin

2tbsp Canola or Olive oil
lots of garlic
ground pepper
oyster sauce
liquid seasoning
butter

mushrooms

DIRECTIONS:
*Marinate beef chunks in oyster sauce,garlic & liquid seasoning mixture,set aside for a few hours.
*Fry minced garlic until brown,set aside.
*Saute marinated beef in very hot oil until they are browned evenly.
*Add a little of the marinade.
*Stir until it dries out then add mushrooms.
*Add butter & fried garlic.
*Serve hot.

Hay busog...sana next week mag-diet na ako..haha

Happy Day

I got plenty of ZZZzzz's today.Woke up at 8am..heehee, thanks to last night rain.Ykaie was not even awake when I woke up.Then Alvin let me have 2 sweet hours of slumber.What a day!

Ang saya-saya ko tuloy.haha..si Alvin tuloy tanong ng tanong kung okay lang ako,kasi daw lahat okay lang sa akin..Hmmmmnn,bakit nga kaya parang ang saya ko ngayon?dahil lang ba ito sa mga extra sleep?
Haayyy,malay ko din..basta alam ko...magaan ang feeling ko..happy din ako.Yung parang in-love.Ewan.Nahihibang na yata ako.

Hay! my gas! di ko kinaya ito!Noong araw kapag may project ako,naghahanap lang ako ng mga picture sa mga magazine or dyaryo o di kaya nagdo-drowing na lang kapag wala talagang makitang akmang picture.Kahit na ang pangit-pangit kong mag-drowing.Ngayon,sushal ang mga bata..bukod sa ang nanay na ang gumagawa ng project..ang mahal-mahal pa.Buti na lang 8 months pa lang ang kuting ko..hehe.

I was going to say I stumbled upon this picture while I was browsing through old pictures but no,sinadya kong ilagay yung picture na yan.Wala lang.Masaya lang,how we met.Syempre millions of lovers would say it's different how they met.That their lovestory is unique.But ours,should I say magical or romantic or whatever adjective that describes a happy,blissful feeling?? Well,we didn't really become US from the start because I had a boyfriend at the time.The relationship started 5 years after when we saw each other at the train station.We both have different jobs then. I don't really know how to describe our lovestory.But one thing's sure. That we were so blessed to be given a chance to be with each other.To be this HAPPY.

The Salpicao Memories

 You know how it is when you have certain expectations & it wasn't met? There's great disappointment.That was what happened yesterday when sis & I had lunch at Tender Bob's.I usually order Steak (T-Bone,well-done) when we eat there because I do love love love Steaks (yumm!) but I decided to take a break from the old Steak experience and  ordered SALPICAO, instead. Big mistake.

I was expecting bite size pieces of tender,buttery & garlicky beef .Theirs had some sauce & a little too salty for my taste.Argh!

It brought back memories of the Beef Salpicao in I tried at Cafe Elysee back when I was in first year of college.

Cafe Elysee doesn't exist anymore...tsk! tsk!....*sigh*

Which reminded me that I was planning to cook Salpicao for 2 months now.Di lang matuloy kasi beef tenderloin is soooooo expensive!You have to buy it whole.Pero,I think matutuloy na sya,my sis would split the price with me because she is planning to cook Jap Jae,which is like a Korean Noodle or something...

Well,let's see how MY Beef salpicao will turn out..

My tooth got chipped yesterday....
dahil lang sa pagkain ng mani na 3 days na yatang nasa ibabaw ng computer table ni Ate Pinky.
Grabe! buong araw akong ilang na ilang dahil sabi ni ate gabi pa raw nya ako papastahan.(dentista kasi sya at mani nya ang may kasalanan ng pagkabungi ko!)
Kagabi ko lang ulit naranasan kung paano mangilo kapag binabarena ang ngipin..

It's been two straight rainy mornings & I've been waking up at 8am.So is my 7 month old daughter,Ykaie,who used to wake me up every single morning at 6am.What happened were the following:

• The netcafe's regulars are already waiting when I went outside.
• Didn't get a chance to have my sip of coffee before stepping inside the netcafe.
• Didn't get a chance to wipe the dust off the stations.
• No mopping of sandy floor...parang beach na ang shop sa dami ng buhangin.
  
• Breakfast is at 10am...gutom na ako nito,promise.
