On a rather serious note...

Nung September 10,8pm um-attend ako ng meeting sa may barangay hall.Lahat ng operators and owners ng computer shops dito sa barangay namin ay present dun sa meeting.

At ang topic ng meeting: CURFEW OF MINORS..

hayy.....eto na naman..walang kamatayan.Hindi naman ako against dito no..okay nga ito dahil iwas sa lahat ng bagay namely accidents,crime, etc.

Minutes of the Meeting:

Sabi ng barangay chairman namin kapag nahulihan daw ng minors ang computer shop ng tatlong beses ay pasensyahan dahil gagawin nya ang lahat para maipasara ang nasabing computer shop.

Fine.

Sabi ng barangay chairman namin ang pwede lang daw pumasok sa computer shop ng 10pm onwards ay ang mga batang may kasamang magulang.

Fine.

Nagtanong ako,just to get it across because syempre binasa ko naman ang City Ordinance No. 0259,

 Tinitingnan ko lang kung anong isasagot sa akin......

"Chairman,Paano po kung kasama naman nung bata yung kapatid nya na mga 20 yrs old?"

Sabi ba naman: Hindi raw pwede,dahil ang sabi daw sa batas ay basta 17 years old pababa,wala daw exemptions..

Huuh??

I distinctly remember reading that these are exempted:

"Minors accompanied by their elders
Minors procuring medicine
Minors performing tasks under the direct supervision of their elders,brothers/sisters aged eighteen (18) and above and persons having parental authority over the minors"

WTF?? Anu beh?!

O sige na nga ako na lang ang magtatanga-tangahan.Kunwari na lang,I'm imbecile at di ko naintindihan yun.

Isa pa,wala naman akong dalang kopya nung City Ordinance para ipakita sa kanila.

Atsaka, baka power tripping sila..pag-initan nila ako...

I stopped myself from b*tch*ng the supposedly honorable barangay tonight.They do deserve some credit for dilligently implementing Ordinance No. 0259 a.k.a. CURFEW LAWS but they will have to think that some people do READ/KNOW the law.

Mga Pobreng Bata: Nasa bahay po..
PMS-ing Barangay: (binalingan ako) dapat Miss di na kayo nagpapapasok ng bata kapag gabi na..
Ako: magre-research daw po sila eh..(hanap ng excuse,dahil di makapag-sungit)
PMS-ing Barangay:Hindi katuwiran yun eh.
Ako: (still trying to find an excuse)..kasama naman nila yung ate nila. (To the ate) Ilang taon ka na nga??
Ate ng Mga pobreng Bata: 19 na po ako eh..
PMS-ing Barangay: (power tripping or hanap din sya ng excuse) Dapat nanay ang kasama..

hahaha...
So I printed the exact copy of the City Ordinance para next time wala ng hahanap ng excuse..
