Of Letters in Mailboxes

We are living in an age where snail mails are almost completely forgotten. Letters can be sent through e-mails and of course, there are e-cards available whenever there are special ocassions. It's nice to receive some traditional greeting cards in the mail from time to time, though.

In the old times and in some countries do you know that there are different mailboxes that symbolizes the economic status of the homeowners? The color  of emperor's mailbox is Blue and it has many designs to show how rich they are. Today, Mailboxes are still maintained at home. Usually that is where the mailman puts the bills and some snail mails, if there are any.

Mailboxes can be made of plastic, stainless steel, aluminum and galvanized steel. My mailbox here at home is red in color and is made of steel.I prefer a mailbox made from steel because they are somehow weatherproof. They can stand a lot of sunshine, rain and wind. It is also durable.I just wish more people would send me letters and cards.
