This is a new kiddie ride dyan sa may SM North EDSA. P35 for 5 mins at P60 for 10 mins. Simula ng malaman ni ykaie na may ganyan pala, hala parati na akong kinukulit na sasakay sa dyan tuwing pupunta kami ng SM.

Si ykaie na antukin!

Well, actually, hindi talaga sya antukin pero mahilig syang magpigil ng antok nya kaya naman kung saan-saan sya nakakatulog. Noong isang araw ay nanggaling ako sa shop at magtitimpla sana ng kape. Pumasok ako sa bahay at pagbukas ng pinto ay tawa ako ng tawa sa nakita ko. Tinawag ko pa si sis para makita nya..hehehe.

Si ykaie na pagkadungis-dungis pa ay natutulog sa sahig! Kasama pa yung mga flag ng Dora na pinaglalaruan nila ng mga pinsan nya kanina. Hala, kung saan inabutan ng antok ay doon na lang ipinikit ang mata. Naloka naman ako.

Noong isang linggo naman ay inip na inip na sya habang hinihintay akong matapos mag-toothbrush at maghilamos. Aba, nakita ko na lang na namamahinga na sa may hagdan habang hawak ang dede nya...hahaha..

Naalala ko tuloy last year, may mga pagkakataon na nakatulog din sya habang naglalaro ng computer at habang nasa department store cart.

Neighborhood Christmas Party

Um-attend si Ykaie ng Christmas party dito sa aming neighborhood last tuesday. Excited sya dahil ito ang kauna-unahang christmas party nya.

Kaya naman dala-dala nya yung pang-exchange gift nya ay pumunta na sya agad dun sa venue. Sige nakisayaw sa kaisa-isang batang nandun dahil maaga pa.

Maya-maya unti-unti na ring dumami ang mga bata pero nung mag-start na yung party bigla syang umuwi at ang sabi sa akin "mommy, ayaw ko ng um-attend". Siguro dahil sa hindi sya nakapag-nap nung hapon ay pagod na at inaantok na.

I just took a few pictures and let her eat dinner. After that she was off to dreamland. Ok na rin kahit na hindi sya nakapag-participate sa buong program ng Christmas party. Makulay pa rin ang gabi dahil masaya sya, may sayawan, nakapag-party-party ng kaunti at may laruang galing sa exchange gift.

Little Martians

Little Martians is a space themed play place for children much like Kidz Republic and Active Fun. The only difference is that aside from the slides and small rock climbing area, there's also a small area where kids can play computer games.

This is where I left Ykaie when I met Brenice the other day. It's a good thing that nowadays there are play places like this where you can safely leave your child to play. She will enjoy herself and interact with other kids while you do the groceries or do some errands. 

Aside from the staffs who look after the children while they have fun, another thing that I like about them is that they have a fingerprint scanner. They scan the guardians/parents fingerprint when the child goes in. When you claim your child, you'll also have to have your fingerprints scanned. They make sure that the person claiming the child is also the person who left it.

Ykaie enjoyed two hours of playing at Little martians. Just in case you are wondering,rate is P165/hr.

Yesterday, we went out to celebrate Ykaie's third birthday. She will have a Tinkerbell party tomorrow with her cousins but we wanted her to blow a candle and to have a small celebration on the exact date that she was born.

 So before going to the grocery to buy some stuffs that we are going to use at the party tomorrow, we ate at The Mango Tree Bisto. {A close-up of what we had in here}

After lunch, we headed to Timezone and I let her play with all the games she likes and ride all the rides she loves! It was a tiring but fun day.

Tomorrow is her Tinkerbell Party and daddy has a big surprise for her.

Somebody turned 3 today!

You used to be a really small person and you are growing up so fast. I can still remember how I stay up all night and watch you sleep, cry and drink milk. Today, you tell mommy not to hold your hand anymore  because you can do some things on your own--well, small things..and I'm beside you really, but totally not holding you.

You sometime argue with me on what to wear,{you think orange shoes goes with red shirt}, you now have a favorite color, you have a favorite food--- you now have a favorite everything. Seeing you decide on small things on your own makes me happy.

You are growing up before my eyes and yet I still think you are growing up too fast. It's gonna be another year of adventure for you......... and for us, who are and always will be beside you no matter what.

The malls started having their Christmas decorations. Gift ideas have started to churn in my head. I just saw my diet pack its suitcase and left for a vacation.

Malapit na ang Pasko talaga. Kaya naman itong si ykaie niyayang sumayaw si Santa..

Somebody's Turning 3

Yup, time flies really fast. I can't believe Ykaie is turning three on the nineteenth. We've prepared a Tinkerbell Themed Mini-Party for her and her cousins. May imbitasyon pa kami..para namang may bisita..hahahaha.

Ykaie is already excited.

We don't use diapers anymore

We haven't been using diapers during daytime since Ykaie turned two. I was already able to potty train her.

Today, was good news.The other day we {Ykaie} have started not wearing any diapers to sleep. She didn't wet the bed for two days now. She's turning three in a few days and I thought that it's about time she lets go of diapers. What I do is wake her up every three hours to pee which is really not a problem for me since I'm really a light sleeper and is used to waking up at night. It didn't become a problem with Ykaie too.

How did I manage to get her to wake up? Well, I kinda talked to her about this a month ago and she agreed to give it a try. Then I reminded her of our "talk" every week just to make sure she doesn't forget about it. The other day, when I told her that we are going to start that night she just said "Cge" {Ok}.

I'm really so proud of her and I'm really proud that it's so easy to talk and make an agreement with her.

Halloween 2010

We weren't able to go Trick or Treating this year because ykaie got hospitalized and was discharged only on the 30th. Since we can't go out on the 31st, what we did was just dress her up  and made her give away candies to our shop's customers.

It was still a fun Halloween Night for her.

What to do when there's no electricity..

We had a power outtage for an hour and a half one day last week. We have to think of something we can do to prevent boredom from seeping in. A little "art attack" came into mind.

Before giving Ykaie a bath, we gathered some old newspapers and scotch tape and made a dress for her--complete with headband too!

GT: Purple

You might be wondering bakit walang color purple sa post ko today. Well, my daughter's real name is PURPLE {One of her 3 names, anyway}. Ykaie is just her nick name.

Dapat ay yan ang ipapangalan sa akin ng aking mother dear kaya lang mas pinili nya ang Peachy. Naisip ko na ang cute kaya ipinangalan ko na lang sa kanya.

Sore Eyes

Ito namang si Ykaie ko nakiki-uso! Buti na lang di tulad nung kay sis na sobrang maga at di na makadilat ang isang mata.

Si Ykaie ay mahilig sa....

....monay na walang palaman at pandesal na walang palaman.Bland ang gusto nyang lasa ng mga tinapay. Ewan ko ba dito. Paminsan-minsan gusto nya rin ng peanut butter pero bihira nyang i-request.

Sa tuwing aalis kami,  ay may nadadaanan kaming bakery dun sa pinag-aabangan namin ng taxi. Parati syang nangungulit at nagpapabili ng monay. Yung monay ay kinakain nya kapag nakasakay na kami ng taxi. Hindi nya naman nauubos pero talagang kinakain nya..

Ayan tuloy kakorte na ng mukha nya ang mga monay na kinakain nya..hahaha

Nail polish for the......eyebrows??

It's the usual morning today...
gumising....
nag-toothbrush...
naghilamos...
naglinis ng shop...
at pagkatapos kong maglinis ng shop....

...nakita ko si ykaie na naglagay ng fuschiang nail polish sa kilay! 

Susme! Ang aga-aga. Gusto kong humagalpak ng tawa. Mas matindi pang pampa-gising sa kape. Di ko alam kung anong pumasok sa isip nya at naisipang ilagay ang nail polish sa kilay nya. Di ko alam kung paano ko pipigilin ang tawa ko, pero pinilit kong mag-seryoso dahil hindi nya ako seseryosohin kapag pinagsabihan ko sya habang tumatawa ako.

One afternoon...

Dahil miss na miss na namin ni ykaie si daddy {a.k.a peanutbutter♥} lagi namin syang pinagchi-chismisan..
Minsan sa Starbucks....

ME: Ykaie lika, punta muna tayo sa CR bago tayo mag-order...


Habang papunta kami sa CR ay nagku-kuwento ako kay Ykaie about daddy and me..

ME: Alam mo, dati dito kami nagwo-work ni daddy...dito kami nagkakilala..

Ang cute!!

These pictures were taken at the exact same spot at Dads Resort in Malabon. The pictures on the left were taken when Ykaie was 7 months old and those pictures on the right were taken last May,Ykaie is 2 years and 6 months old that time. Look at the difference...

7-month-old Ykaie and 2-year-&6months-old ykaie na nakanganga..hehehe.

Tingnan nyo si ykaie o..bungi pa...hahaha...Dito naman sa isa she has a full set of pearly whites...
