Soyami Soya Chips: The Healthier Alternative

I love chips. peanutbutter and my daughter, ykaie loves them too. We eat chips as a snack, whenever we watch tv or movies or even when we're just talking. As we all know chips are not healthy because they are high in fat, sodium and MSG. I'm glad I attended this event last Friday, wherein we are introduced to a "healthier chips"--Soyami Soya Chips.

So what is Soyami Soya Chips?  Well, they are a healthier alternative to potato chips as they are low in fat, made of all natural ingredients, low in sodium, no MSG and has calcium. It also has more protein than carbs making it easier for you to lose weight.
Since Soyami Soya Chips is made from soy, you can get all the benefits that you get from soy when you eat it. Benefits like prevention of osteoporosis and it also reduces the risk of having breast, colon and prostate cancer.
It is so nice that Active Fun launched a healthier alternative to the usual chips on the market. Ykaie loved the original flavor while I loved the white cheddar. She ate a lot after playing inside Active Fun for almost three hours. I guess she got hungry and tired. I didn't worry because she's eating a healthy snack. I will definitely be on the look out for this on the market come first week of November when it goes out.

Ykaie really had fun playing inside Active Fun for three hours. Check out her fun photos...

Californiaberry

Last August was when I saw the coffee-flavored froyo at Californiaberry in Galleria. This year, they have Blueberry. Ykaie and I keep on coming back for it. Its so good. You don't even need toppings to eat it. But of, course who can resist three toppings for P30?? So we had the toppings anyway.
P150 for Large Froyo + 3 toppings
Sis had regular frozen yogurt with cherries, kiwi and walnut. Ykaie and I shared blueberry forzen yogurt with kiwi, peaches and cherries. I love that Californiaberry uses bottled maraschino cherries instead of the canned cherries in syrup.

Ykaie in the Rain

Ykaie loves bathing and playing in the rain... Whenever it's raining she would go to me and ask "mommy, Can I bathe in the rain?"
But she doesn't want her pictures taken the last time she did. She refused to smile but I snapped away anyway, heehee

CINCO

Despite the drizzle the other day, we went and and saw Cinco.
CINCO is a scary movie with five episodes. This is a horror movie you watch when you don't want to think and you just want to have fun. It's actually a horror movie with some comedy. Ykaie loved it, she was so engrossed in the movie that she sometimes forgets to eat her popcorn! hee..

Cleaning Up?

I saw a small broom and dust pan at the market the other day and bought it for Ykaie.
She loved the little broom and dustpan so much, she wanted to sweep the whole street! Heehee

Manila Zoo

I wanted to take Ykaie to Manila Zoo because I had such a great time as a kid there and I wanted her to see more animals. Admission for adults cost P40 and for children below 4 ft it's P20.
The Manila Zoo that we visited is not the Manila Zoo that I've known as a kid anymore.Cages are being renovated as well as other areas of the zoo but there are less animals. Most of the animals are poorly taken care of and there are no giraffe or even a lion in sight.
We saw tigers, monkey, snake, iguana, ostrich, philippine deer, zebra, horses, hippo, different kinds of birds and an elephant.
There is also a small zoo inside the Manila Zoo called Kinder Zoo where you can pet the animals and take your pictures with them. Admission here costs P65 per person. You can take your pictures with different kinds of birds, an ostrich, a snake, a wild boar, a small crocodile,a turtle and a baby monkey.

THE BIRDS
I think Ykaie is a little bit scared with the birds, maybe because she can feel the claws in her head...

ykaie doesn't wanna carry the monkey but is afraid to let go of it either because it might fall and she knows that falling might hurt the baby monkey.

Fruit Salad and Pumpkin Weekend

When I made the fruit salad a couple of days ago, Ykaie wanted to be a part of what I was doing which was taking a picture of it. What I did was I asked her to pose like she was going to eat it, and to my surprise, she obliged. She posed twice and did not eat the fruit on her spoon at all!

This was taken yesterday at the mall. We went out with my ILs and since its going to be Halloween soon there are lots of make-believe-pumpkin around the mall. Ykaie loved playing with them.

She even sat down on one of them.

Had a very fun weekend with the fam!
