Soyami Soya Chips: The Healthier Alternative

I love chips. peanutbutter and my daughter, ykaie loves them too. We eat chips as a snack, whenever we watch tv or movies or even when we're just talking. As we all know chips are not healthy because they are high in fat, sodium and MSG. I'm glad I attended this event last Friday, wherein we are introduced to a "healthier chips"--Soyami Soya Chips.

So what is Soyami Soya Chips?  Well, they are a healthier alternative to potato chips as they are low in fat, made of all natural ingredients, low in sodium, no MSG and has calcium. It also has more protein than carbs making it easier for you to lose weight.
Since Soyami Soya Chips is made from soy, you can get all the benefits that you get from soy when you eat it. Benefits like prevention of osteoporosis and it also reduces the risk of having breast, colon and prostate cancer.
It is so nice that Active Fun launched a healthier alternative to the usual chips on the market. Ykaie loved the original flavor while I loved the white cheddar. She ate a lot after playing inside Active Fun for almost three hours. I guess she got hungry and tired. I didn't worry because she's eating a healthy snack. I will definitely be on the look out for this on the market come first week of November when it goes out.

Ykaie really had fun playing inside Active Fun for three hours. Check out her fun photos...

Mommy's Day Out by UNILAB

It was really nice to be invited and to be a part of the Mommy's Day Out given by UNILAB last monday. Busy, hardworking moms do need to take a break and treat themselves even for just a day. UNILAB made it all possible and gave us an excuse to get out and pamper ourselves.
It was a very intimate event because only seven made it to the event and our small group of moms easily bonded over a very delicious lunch. We shared blogger, mommy and online job stories.
The Beauty Coach, Ms. Marie Calica shared with us a few simple beauty mantras which will help keep us pretty moms. Let me share a few of them wih you:

I promise to Scrub-a-dub-dub {aka EXFOLIATE}
I will slap on the Face cream {aka MOISTURIZE}
I won't forget my eyes {or my NECK}
Water is my bestfriend
I will say "si" to "E"..Vitamin E that is
I am sleeping beauty
I will use protection {SPF}
I will keep myself fresh and clean

This closet daddy blogger from UNILAB also shared with us the importance of  Quality time apart and quality time together in relationships.
Pretty Makeup Arist Anjie Gogna gave us a Personal Beauty Makeup Workshop. Now, I feel the need to get an eyeliner and I really need to learn how to use one....LOL!
After that we were off to Mane Depot to be given a lot more pampering. We were given a hair spa, a foot spa, a manicure and a pedicure.

It was indeed a great day. I bonded with fellow mom bloggers and I also got to take home a bag full of UNILAB products that will let me continue pampering myself at home. I am so excited to try everything inside this bag.

Who is SALT?

The other day, I was one of the privileged few to see SALT for free...that's me in blue..lined-up to get my tickets. There were three tickets so I brought my cousin, Rome and my sis, Anney. {who are these people--Rome & Anney?}
The event was sponsored by Nestle Heaven Ice Cream...there was free ice cream! Yay!
We had Vanilla Almond Secret, Belgian Chocolate Bliss and Strawberry Dream. We also bought some popcorns and lemonades.
Angelina Jolie does it again and proves she is not just a female action star but an action star! This movie reminds me of a James Bond movie, only bolder... and sexier. I would definitely be waiting for a sequel.
There was a q&a portion before the movie and I was also lucky to win...heehee..it was a giveaway. Do you want to know what's wrapped inside that cute package I was holding?
 Nestle yummies!!!! Thank you so much Nestle and Nuffnang! We had a really great time!

Baby Bedtime Discoveries with Johnson & Johnson

Watching our baby sleep is one of the things that brings such joy to being a mother. Yesterday, I was very fortunate to have attended Johnson Baby Bedtime Discovery at the Ascott Residences. It was fun learning about the Science of Sleep.
Dr. Luis Rivera, a Fellow of the Philippine Society for Sleep Medicine, explained how important sleep is to our baby's growth and well-being. He shared to us that during sleep, there are three times more growth hormones that are released than when babies are awake. He further explained the importance of a regular bedtime routine in order to keep our babies well-rested during the time they are sleeping.
Johnson & Johnson together with some midwives shared with us the 3-Step Bedtime Time Routine that is clinically proven to stretch your baby´s sleep by as much as 23%.
Step 1: A warm bath or "punas"
 A nice warm bath or even a simple ´punas´ with JOHNSON´S® Baby Bedtime Bath will set the tone for your baby bedtime routine. The warmth of the water, coupled with your gentle, lathering touch will soothe baby. Once you´ve established this as a regular nighttime routine, the bath will signal your baby that she´s on her way to bed.Enjoy the moment... your baby definitely will!
Step 2 : A soothing massage
The midwives shared with us the I-Love-You massage and the Milking massage which will not only get your baby ready for sleep, infant massage or Touch Therapy also has clinically proven benefits and has been shown to contribute to healthy weight gain, improve babies´ immunity and calm then when they are irritable. Spread JOHNSON´S® Baby Bedtime Baby Lotion on your palms then stroke her with a gentle motion.
Step 3: Quiet Time
JOHNSON´S® Baby Powder is perfect before you begin quiet time. Quiet time is the time when you bond with your baby while you hush her to sleep. Read her a bedtime story, sing a lullaby or simply softly talk her to sleep.Your voice, familiar to her from birth, will cradle her into dreamland.
Lovely and very pregnant Christine Bersola-Babao hosted the event [feeling close talaga ako..hahahah]
 Beth, me and BFF, DJ
I am so glad to finally meet fellow blogger Beth in person.She was really nice. It's also nice to share this event with my BFF, DJ. [Ano beh? Napapagitnaan ako ng dalawang payat. Sa susunod na picture taking payat na din ako...hahaha.]. I really had such a great time at this event and I learned a lot about the science of sleep.
Thank you so much for the goodie bag J&J! I can finally apply the 3-Step Bedtime Routine to my little girl!
