LP: Manipis (Thin)

Nakakaimbyerna tong kapitbahay ko!! Dapat piniktyuran ko sila noong isang linggo para ilahok dito sa LP at akmang-akma sa kanya ang tema na Makapal dahil sobrang kapal ng mukha nila!! Kaya lang ay ayoko ibalandra ang mga mukha nila rito at kapapangit naman. Paano ba naman nagka-problema sila sa bahay nila pero dahil magkatabi kami ng bahay ay kami ang napeperwisyo. Ang gusto ba naman ay kami ang magpagawa ng nasirang parte ng bahay nila. Hindi talaga sila kumikilos. Parang feeling ko, sinasabi nilang tutal kayo naman ang napeperwisyo, kayo ang magpagawa.....

Numinipis na ang pasensya ko, pag naubos na gye-gyerahin ko na talaga to.

Pasensya na mga ka-LP..naglalabas lang ng sama ng loob.....ayoko magpa-picture na mukhang galit kaya si ykaie na lang.....

ito ang aking lahok para sa.Magandang Huwebes!  Sana gumanda rin ang huwebes ko....

Hunting for Halloween Costume

We did some Halloween costume hunting over the weekend. Some of the costumes were on sale and we got a couple for only P350. Those are the costumes that used to cost P500-P700 a piece. Not bad,huh?

 Ate Chellie is going to be a Viking on Halloween. Ykaie tried on a lot of stuff too. Care to take a guess what she's gonna be? No? Well, I'm not gonna tell you. You have to wait for Halloween to see what she's gonna be.

She also tried on some masks. Mag-costume din kaya ako sa Halloween?....hahaha

Eto yata ang pinaka-bagay na mask sa kanya...

Masaki's Welcome Party

We attended Masaki's Welcome party yesterday at the Jollibee in Cherry Fooderama. Masaki is the 1 yr and 4 month old son of a highschool schoolmate. I wasn't even in any of her classes but somehow we got a little closer through Facebook. She now lives in Japan but she wanted her son to experience the Pinoy way of celebrating parties.

I saw a lot of our old classmates at the event. Laarnie, her hubby Eric and daughter Leighna was there. Dj and  daughter Yana were there sporting their "terno"..heehee...

Ykaie enjoyed the party. This is the first time she has really appreciated attending a party at Jollibee.

 "HepHep Hurray" game with highschool classmates...syempre natalo ako... hahaha..

 Ykaie wanted to take Jollibee home with us...LOL!

Around 1pm...

It rained hard yesterday afternoon. It was so tempting to go out and play......

and so we did.

We had so much fun playing and bathing in the rain...

Red Mango

My current obsession : Green Tea frozen yogurt with Dezato Mochi Balls and sliced peaches. Red Mango's green tea has authentic Matcha taste but retains the tartness of the yogurt.

Ykaie is happy with just the original frozen yogurt with no toppings but sis shared this one with her. It has red beans and mango.

Going Hawaiian

For our next backyard party or barbecue, I think I wanna go hawaiian again. The last one we had was just a mini-luau and it was more or less than two years ago. It was when Ykaie turned 10 months old. Can you believe how long ago was that?

I love Luaus! Everybody is cute and you could get as funky as you want.You can also be as sexy as you want. Just take a look at Ykaie, all it took was some garter,straws and some floral printed cloths and she had a costume. The same with her cousin Cyra, the one on the left.

I want our next luau party to be as authentic as it can be.From the grass skirts, the menu, the music and the design of the venue. I also want some luau banners all over the place and of course, some lei for the guests.

What do you think, sis??? Let's go Hawaiian on my birthday??

LP: 2 (two, dalawa)

May dalawang baby ampalaya sa aming bakuran. Tuwang-tuwa si Ykaie sa tuwing nakakakita ng bagong usbong na ampalaya. Alam nya kasi na sa loob lamang ng ilang araw ay malaki na ito at pwede na pitasin. Pagkapitas ay nilalagay namin ito sa chiller ng ref para di agad masira. Ito namang si ykaie, kapag malamig na ang ampalaya ay kinukuha at pinaglalaruan. Nandoong ilagay sa leeg, nandoong ilagay sa kili-kili habang sinasabing "it's cold, mommy, it's cold"

Niloko ko nga sya isang beses "Yuck, nilalagay sa kili-kili..ayoko na kainin yang ampalaya na yan." sabi ko...

ito ang aking lahok para sa.Magandang Huwebes!

GT: Green

Mahilig din ako sa green. Sa katunayan yung mga stations ko sa shop ang color ay green.

Pagninilay-nilay

Nainggit ako kay peanutbutter♥ at kumakain sya ng fried chicken habang nagcha-chat kami kaninang hapon. Hayan, at imbes na after six ako ay nagpalibre ako kay ate ng hotshots at coleslaw. Sa totoo lang ay tatlong araw ko ng kinakain ito tuwing hapon. Para akong naglilihi. Last day na to. Pramis. Titigilan ko na ang kabaliwan ko sa hotshots at coleslaw.

Ano naman kaya ang pagti-trip-an ko kainin bukas??

Nanood ako ng MacGyver Season 1 Episode 1..

Kahapon kasi ay napanood ko ang MacGruber. Spoof ito ng MacGyver. Kinailangan kong mag-download  ng MacGyver at manood. Feeling ko ay nabalahura sya sa spoof na yon. Di kinaya ng brain ko ang scene kung saan bilang diversion sa mga kaaway ay nag- bold sya at naglagay ng celery sa pwet at nag-hop na parang rabbit.

Nakaka- trauma. Kinailangan ng cleansing.

Hindi galing sa akin ang mga tips na ito. Nadampot ko ito sa naging kasamahan ko noong call girl pa ako sa Makati. Call girl din sya, pero ngayon ay TL na. { Wag madumi ang isip, sa call center kami nagtatrabaho}.

Happy Marriage tip#1: Wag Tumanggi. Wag nyong bigyan ng dahilan si hubby na humanap pa ng iba kung pwede naman nyong ibigay ng libre araw-araw!

Happy Marriage tip#2: Wag magpka-LOSYANG. di porket me mga junakis na eh excuse na pabayaan ang sarili. Dapat tayo ang pinagpapantasyahan ng asawa at hindi si Kristine Reyes! Obligasyong magpaganda para sa asawa!

Happy Marriage Tip#3: Wag MADAMOT. Kung si spouse ay bet magpaka-charity institution sa kamag-anak or friends, go lang. Mas mabuti na kayo ang nagbibigay kaysa kayo ang humihingi.

Happy Marriage tip#4: Dapat me AMNESIA. Wag ng mag history major 101. Kapag pinatawad mo ang asawa, wag ng banggitin pa ang nakalipas. I-activate ang poor memory. What for na mag reminisce diba? pinatawad mo eh.

Happy Marriage Tip#5: Di tayo SUPER HEROES. Don't act like one. Lahat ng problema or blessings, wag sarilihin. Surrender ke Papa God. Make Him the center of your marriage. Lalo na kung sakit ng ulo asawa nyo... naku, iluhod nyo na sa Baclaran yan!

Happy Marriage Tip#6: Wag IPILIT and DI KAYA. Wag mag-expect ng di ma-frustrate. Example: 1 taon mo ng hinihiling na mag text back si mister sayo pero di pa rin matuto. Me cellphone naman pero di ginagamit. Isn't it obvious na di sya ma-text na tao?

Happy Marriage Tip#7: Witchels kang TANGA! If enjoy ka sa pagiging punching bag o rejoice ka pag umuuwing lasing o high si spouse, o feel mo ang madaming kahati, tigilan ang pag read ng tips ko. No amount of tips can get you out of that situation. Get help,go counselling. Minsan matindi ang gamutan sa katangahan.

Happy Marriage Tip#8:  Kung hindi mo mahal, wag mong pakasalan. Kung napakasalan mo na, at hindi mo parin mahal, hiwalayan mo na la ng kaysa niloloko mo lang. KABOG!

September Goals

Today, I woke up early. I think I might have been twisting and turning for a couple of hours before I decided to just get out of bed. Our bed room wall clock said it was 5am. I never wake up at 5am. It's always 6am. This is unusual for me. I think this maybe is a sign of something....it might be a positive sign because at this very moment I want to make a list of the things I want to accomplish this month.

Last month, I decided to start on a diet to lose weight. It was the South Beach Diet. I've been posting SBD recipes in my food blog -The Peach Kitchen. My weight last month was 156lbs. As of today, I lost 11lbs and my current weight is 145lbs. That is my biggest accomplishment for the month of August. My second accomplishment is that I did it without feeling hungry or depriving myself of anything because I allowed cheat days. Third is that, I was able to have an adventure with food. I managed to cook meals that is both delicious and healthy.

My goals/to-do list this month are:
♥ Continue posting SBD recipes and lose ten more pounds.
♥ Clean my computers here at the shop
♥ Banapple with Rome and Anney
♥ Ykaie day
♥  Organize/Clean our bedroom

Ito namang si Ykaie ko nakiki-uso! Buti na lang di tulad nung kay sis na sobrang maga at di na makadilat ang isang mata.

Hindi pa nga nag-iinit ang September, ang dami-dami ng bwisit sa mundo ko...

I don't usually reply to these scammers kaya lang nakakairita na. I'm now starting to think September is not my month. But just now I reminded myself that I don't think that way.

I'm gonna make September a fruitful and positive month for me. Bwisit #1 needs a dose of his own medicine.

Great Giveaway

I am a self-proclaimed foodie. I love cooking and eating out in restaurants. I also own food-themed items like earrings and bags. I have cookies, sandwiches, chili, eggplant, and grape earrings. I also love food themed shirts and shirts that has funny saying or funny images in them. I have a shirt that has a picture of milk and cookies that says "made for each other". I have a shirt that says "Seeking Tall, Dark and Rich.......cup of coffee". I have green m&m shirt. I have a shirt that has a pb&j sandwich.

I guess everybody loves these kinds of shirts nowadays. You can see them sold around in malls and online. If you are looking for a perfect gift or a perfect giveaway for a special occasion then custom t-shirts  are perfect!. They are cute, useful and they are such an "in" thing right now. If you own a business, personalized giveaways are much better giveaway because you can give out something that's also a part of you to  your customers. You can also give out other custom items if you don't like t-shirts. Items such as mugs, umbrellas or pens. I gave out funny posters once. I think my customers loved it. Funny Posters are a great giveaway when most of your customers are male. You can make your own or adapt something from Funny or Die. They'll think it's hilarious.

Si Ykaie ay mahilig sa....

....monay na walang palaman at pandesal na walang palaman.Bland ang gusto nyang lasa ng mga tinapay. Ewan ko ba dito. Paminsan-minsan gusto nya rin ng peanut butter pero bihira nyang i-request.

Sa tuwing aalis kami,  ay may nadadaanan kaming bakery dun sa pinag-aabangan namin ng taxi. Parati syang nangungulit at nagpapabili ng monay. Yung monay ay kinakain nya kapag nakasakay na kami ng taxi. Hindi nya naman nauubos pero talagang kinakain nya..

Ayan tuloy kakorte na ng mukha nya ang mga monay na kinakain nya..hahaha

Brunch at Banapple

I've heard a lot about Banapple and how good their desserts are and so when my friends Dj, Rizza and I decided to go out for brunch I suggested Banapple.

The place has a homey and relaxed atmosphere that is perfect on a busy monday morning. We had to wait a few minutes before we got a table.

The table was really nice. I think the tabletop was made with marbles embedded in cement. It was very interesting to my little girl, ykaie who thought it was m&m's.

Is there a better way to spend the day than with good friends, in a good place with good food? So from left to right: that's Ykaie, Dj, {Rizza's son} Jeff, and Rizza.

Their homemade Iced tea is the best iced tea I've tasted so far. It has a hint of fresh orange juice in it, I think.

This is what I had for dessert. I didn't even finish the whole slice. I took home half of it and ate it a few minutes after I arrived,hee.

There are also some cookies, pies, muffins and breads sold to take to your loved-ones at home...

I had a great time and I think the kids had fun too...We should do this more often.What do you think?
