A wonderful stay at One Tagaytay Place

One of the reasons I chose to celebrate my birthday this way is that I want to take a breather. Believe me, my work may not look really stressful but it is. Second is that I want to bond with my cousins. We've celebrated birthdays eating out but this is taking it a notch higher...and we're planning more birthday trips like this.
We didn't really went out para mamasyal. We talked, gossiped, binged and laughed a lot. These are priceless moments. There were also a lot of photos!
Ang picture ng dyosang naka-gown! Ikaw na! Ikaw na ang DYOSA!!! hehehehe....
The reason why I chose One Tagaytay is because the rooms are nice, the reviews are good, the staffs are friendly and their infinity pool looks gorgeous! {Check out our room here}
This is the bare-faced me-I looked tired, no?
They even sent a chocolate cake before bedtime. I don't know if they send a cake to all guest or they just did because it's my birthday.
Tea and Taal Volcano in the morning....bongga! nakakarelax, parang ayaw mo na bumalik ng Manila.
At kahit ice-cold and water..hala, sige swimming pa rin kaming lahat!
 Syempre, picture-taking galore!
...Model-model-an...O pagbigyan nyo na ako...

It was a wonderful birthday celebration, sayang wala si peanutbutter. It would have been extraordinary...

Sonya's Garden,Tagaytay

I decided to celebrate my birthday in advance, out of town. Why out of town? Because I know that my mind will refreshed when I celebrate it somewhere where I won't be able to see my computer shop. I decided to celebrate it in Tagaytay. I can't treat everyone because I don't have a lot of money, so I pick some of my favorite people na lang to celebrate it with.
First Stop was Sonya's Garden...
...where we had a nice lunch. {If you want to know what we had, check it out here}.
There was gossip and lots of laughter. Puro luka-luka kasi ang mga kasama.
Ate Nydia, Chellie, Ate Thess, me and Rome plus Sis, the photographer..
I didn't like most of my photos here at Sonya's, haggard kasi ang beauty ng lola sa byahe at mega-commute lang ang mga beauties namin. After eating, we immediately went to One Tagaytay to check-in and rest...

Merienda at Club Balai Isabel

It was scorching hot out there so we wanted something cold to eat while in the shade. This was after taking pictures from the different beautiful spots in the place. So off we went to the Terraza Lakeside Restaurant.
Buco Pandan Salad [P80]
Kakay ordered this. I imagined Buco Pandan on ice. It was a small amount of buco pandan salad topped with grated cheese. I was really disappointed.
Halo-Halo in Coconut [P140]
This is very very very disappointing. The halo-halo was watery, I think this is because it took a really long time before it was served to us. There was little ice left and it wasn't even shaved ice but a little clump. This is more like Buco-Juice with halo-halo bits...
Halo-Halo [P100]
Those are shaved ice turned into one big clump which my spoon can't breakdown into its old teeny size...
These are the most frustrating halo-halo I've seen and tasted. How I missed Chowking's right then and there..

Amana Waterpark

It's a good thing that we were able to go swimming before peanutbutter left for Dubai. Somehow, this became his "going away party". Amana Waterpark is located in Pandi, Bulacan. Around an hour and a half drive from where we live [Caloocan City]. The entrance is P250 for adults and P200 for children below 4ft. Since Ykaie is still 2 years old, she got in for free.
It has a 3,500 sq. m wave pool where you get to experience 13 waves. We weren't able to experience it though because the waves are only turned on during weekends. They only turn it on during weekdays if they have a booking of 50 persons or more.We went on a monday so the wave pool is very very peaceful.
Cottages are available for day use and for overnight use. Prices range from P600 - P2,800 depending on the size and if there are added amenities.
We rented the Executive Cottage for P2,500.It's from 8:30am - 6:00pm exclusive of the entrance. The cottage has an airconditioned room upstairs and a TV. Not bad at all. I think it's better to rent a cottage with a room specially if you brought children along with you so they'll have someplace to rest after they get tired of swimming.
You can also rent a grill for P100. We grilled some pork belly, fish and hotdogs.
There are life-size characters around the resort. They are fun to look at and to take pictures with. Not in the picture are Michael Jordan, The Terminator, Freddie Krueger, Mickey Mouse, Batman, Spiderman, and The Justice League Characters.
Ykaie is scared of these life-size cartoon characters that's why I wasn't able to take pictures of her.
But she had such a fun time with daddy at the kiddie pool!
The kiddie pool measure around 500 sq. m and it has life-size Dragonball Characters around it.
mommy is teaching Ykaie how to swim........as if she knows how..heehee..

You might be wondering about the other amenities. The resort also has a cave-like restaurant, kiosks, horseback riding, massage, souvenir shop, man-made waterfalls and soon to open slide pools.
At the end of the day, everybody's tired but we all had a great time. I'll be posting more photos in FB soon, just in case you wanna see more.

Ykaie's 1st MRT ride

Siyang-siya si Ykaie dahil for the very first time ay nakasakay siya ng train.

And so our second day begins...with a little fashion show...

Supermodel pose.."Can you see my navel?"

"Pagod na ako,mommy...awat na.."

Sus..at nagtatago daw ako sa mga haligi ng kubol na ito. Next year magpapapayat na talaga ako, pramis!

By the shore..uyy,malapit na kami sa tubig..

Kasama namin dito si Ate Thess, Shy at Dhenzel

Everybody wore their shades for the picture. This was taken bago kami pimunta sa Kappe Brako, a known coffee shop here in Batangas

Ykaie is dancing here to the tune of Selecta's "3-in-1 plus 1,Hapi Kaarawan"

Ang hirap patinginin ni Ykaie sa camera..

After dinner ng second day namin ay nag bonfire sila.
