Kimono Ken

We had an early dinner before watching Percy and the Lightning Thief yesterday. Ykaie wanted some Ramen so off we went to Kimono Ken.Wait till you see what we ordered...
California Maki [P125]
Crabstick, mango, lettuce with Japanese mayonnaise and tobiko. I love California Maki, this is a must when dining japanese.
Gomoku Ramen [P200]
Salt based soup with mixed seafood, chicken and vegetables. This is good for sharing and it was divided between peanutbutter, Ykaie and me.
Ebi Tempura [P300]
Tempura is one of those japanese dishes that peanutbutter loves. Kimono Ken's Tempura is perfect!
Yaki Soba [P165]
Sauteed noodles, porkloin and vegatables. My MIL's order.Maybe I was already full when I tried this but I prefer Bubble Tea's Yakisoba over this one.
Yaki Udon [P175]
Sauteed thick white noodles with porkloin and vegetables. I know, it looks radioactive.Sorry for the over-exposed photo and thanks to my FIL for being supportive over my blog. By the way, this is his order. I love Udon but their version is too sweet for me.
If you will notice, we had oodles of noodles...we didn't notice until the orders arrived. Everything we ordered were meant for sharing and we finished everything! If I eat like this everyday, I'll be needing some serious Cosmetic Surgery. I am so glad I only do so when we go out.

Teriyaki Boy

When peanutbutter met us at Rob Galleria the other day, we decided to have lunch at Teriyaki Boy. We're not really in the mood for Japanese, we were looking for a chicken dish for Ykaie. Chicken is her favorite dish right now-- Fried Chicken to be specific. We want her to appreciate other chicken dishes and not eat fried all the time.

Teriyaki Boy has the best Chicken Teriyaki.
Gyu Yakiniki Don [P275]
This is peanutbutter's order. The beef was thinly sliced and really tasty!
Teriyaki Boy Bento [P300]
I ordered the Teriyaki Boy Bento for me and Ykaie. It consists of Chicken Teriyaki, Rice,Kani Salad, Coffee Jelly, Iced Tea and....
....Miso Soup which Ykaie loved so much!
Here's a very playful Ykaie after the meal...
The very next day Sis and I went for some grocery shopping and guess what? She wanted to eat at Teriyaki Boy too! We had...
Crazy California Roll [P175]
This is California Roll with watermelon and lettuce..dipping sauce is kewpie mayo with soy sauce..
Chicken-Ebi Kiddie Meal [P175]
Kiddie Meal for Ykaie and me, the sis ordered the Ebi Tempura Bento.
an entry for an entry for. Have a great weekend everyone!

Healthy Shabu-Shabu

Shabu-Shabu is Japanese hot pot. We usually don't go to Shabu-Shabu restaurants because its a little more expensive than the normal restos. Kaya lang medyo naglalambing si peanutbutter. It's a first time again after a long time and this is also healthier alternative so...there we went.

She's pretty excited to eat...

We ordered the Beef  Tenderloin Set (P1,900) which is good for four persons. It consisted of four glasses of refillable Iced Tea, a plate of thin beef tenderloin slices......

and a plate of different vegetables like bok choy, pechay, shiitake mushrooms, taro, corn, and carrots. It has two kinds noodles, tofu, squid balls, chicken balls and crabsticks.

You'll have your own pot of soup, an egg, different spices and I guess that's a bowl of beef broth concentrate? I really have no idea what that brown soup is except that it taste like beef and it's really good.

Hot pot with the poached egg...it's really good. I guess if you get the hang of it...

It was only me, peanutbutter, my sister who calls herself Anney and Ykaie who ate the whole set so we were really stuffed. It was a lot of food for three and a half people. Come to thin of it, the set can even be good for five.

Ykaie is very pre-occuppied with here bowl of noodles.

Feel na feel, oh? Nakapikit pa....

Hala, labas na dila....yumyum!

Slurp!

Corn Shots!

Seriously..our family needs to go on a diet.lol!
